LICKING COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
Week of 4/18/2022
Jacksontown, Ohio (Friday, April 15, 2022) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Licking County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 37/661 |
State Route 37/661 bridge over State Route 16 in Granville - This project will reconstruct the bridge carrying SR 37/SR 661 over SR 16 in Granville. The project will also include turn lane additions along the SR 37/SR 661 entrance and exit ramps. The intersection of SR 661 and River Road/Weaver Drive will be improved to include turn lanes along SR 37/SR 661 and along westbound River Road. The intersection will be signalized.

New impacts: During the week of April 18, surface asphalt will be placed on SR 37/661. Traffic will be restricted during paving operations. Motorists may experience delays.
- Continued daytime lane closures on SR 16 in both directions for bridge painting of the SR 37/661 bridge. SR 16 WB will not close until 9:00am each day and SR 16 EB will be open each day by 3:00pm.

Interstate 70 |
Interstate 70 resurfacing - This project includes resurfacing with related work on portions of I-70 in Licking and Muskingum Counties from CR 330 (Shelly Rd.) in Licking County to the Licking/Muskingum County line and Licking/Muskingum County line to just east of CR 30 in Muskingum County. Estimated project completion is October 2022.

New impacts: Beginning Monday, April 18, motorists can expect overnight lane closures on I-70 for shoulder and pavement repair work.
