Interstate 75 Bridge Repair Project Set To Begin

Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 6, 2022) – A bridge rehabilitation project over Interstate 75 will get under way this month, with traffic restrictions being imparted early next week.

On Monday, April 11, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will close the ramp from I-75 North to I-275 West to begin Phase 1 of the project to repair the structure that carries the ramp over I-75. The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, and motorists will be detoured by way of I-275 East and the Mosteller Road interchange.

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 12 and 13, single-lane (far left lane) closures will be in effect on I-75 at the I-275 interchange for beam support installation beginning at 8 p.m. each night, followed by double-lane closures (left, two lanes) starting at 11 p.m. All restrictions on either night will be lifted by 6 a.m. the following day.

On Thursday, April 14, single-lane restrictions will be in effect in the far right lane of I-75 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday, April 15, and the ramp from I-75 South to I-275 East will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday. Motorists will be detoured by way of I-75 South and the Sharon Road interchange.

Complete General Construction Co. was awarded a contract for approximately $1.93 million to repair and rehabilitate the bridge, which calls for replacing the wearing surface and full-depth repairs, replacing the expansion joints and painting the bridge, and all work is scheduled to be completed by mid-fall of 2022.
