CLERMONT COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending April 2, 2022: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Clermont County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. NEW IMPACT S.R. 32 Interchange/Expansion - Construction of an interchange at the intersection of S.R. 32 and Bach Buxton Road/Elick Lane and widening of S.R. 32 West between the new interchange and Glen Este-Withamsville Road. Mainline traffic will be maintained through the work zone during initial stages of construction, and the following restrictions will be in place: Monday, March 28 - Various restrictions in the Eastgate Woods apartment complex for pavement work and retaining wall construction along eastbound S.R. 32. Parking areas and access will be maintained. Monday, April 4 - Closure of Marian Drive at Elick Lane and permanent closure of the south leg of the intersection of S.R. 32 and Old S.R. 74. Traffic will be re-routed via Shayler Road, Bach Buxton Road and Elick Lane. (Traveling north on Old S.R. 74, the route will be open to the Speedway gas station and S.R. 32; however, there will be no access to or from S.R. 32.)  CONTINUING IMPACT S.R. 32 RCUT Installation - At the intersection with Bauer Road. Operations have been suspended for the winter months; however, crews will return in the spring to complete final operations. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 131 Intersection Improvement - At the intersection of Wolfpen/Pleasant Hill roads. Most work has been suspended for the winter months; however, crews will return in the spring to complete final signalization, curbs and pedestrian facilities. 

S.R. 222 Ditching - In both directions between Laycock Cutoff and Crane Schoolhouse roads. Traffic will be maintained with arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers during hours of operation.

S.R. 222 & S.R. 232 Vegetation Clearing - On S.R. 222, between U.S. 52 at Chilo and Felicity, and on S.R. 232, between S.R. 222 and Bethel. Traffic will be maintained with arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers during hours of operation.

S.R. 756 Culvert Replacement/Resurfacing - Between S.R. 232 and the Brown County line. Construction also includes pavement repairs and replacing three culverts within the project limits. Restrictions will be in effect, and the route will be subject to closure in the eastbound direction between Bolender and Neville Penn Schoolhouse roads through Friday, April 8. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 222 and S.R. 743. The project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2022.

S.R. 756 Culvert Replacement - Between S.R. 232/Big Indian Road and Laurel-Moscow Road. S.R. 756 will be closed Monday, March 28, through Friday, April 1. While it is closed, traffic will be detoured via S.R. 743, U.S. 52 and S.R. 232.

U.S. 50 Resurfacing - Between S.R. 222 and Owensville. Operations have been suspended for the winter months; however, crews will return in the spring to complete final paving and pavement markings. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.
