LUCAS COUNTY: Highway Construction Update

*I-75 Weekend Closure*

Interstate 75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, will be two lanes in each direction for major reconstruction. Lane restrictions and overnight ramp closures possible. Estimated completion: Fall 2023.

 

New Announcements/Upcoming Impacts

I-75, between I-475 split in Perrysburg and I-475 split in Toledo, will be closed in both directions for overhead beam installation at Nebraska Avenue, overnight on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15, 11:59 p.m.-6 a.m. Make-up date will be Sunday night, January 16, 11:59 p.m.-6 a.m.

  • Detour: I-475/US 23 to I-475
  • Local traffic will be detoured using Collingwood Blvd.

 

Continuing Work

  • Southbound/outbound State Route 25/Anthony Wayne Trail will be reduced to one lane between I-75 and Collingwood Blvd. for reconstruction of AW Trail through spring 2022.
  • Ramp from northbound I-75 to Downtown/Anthony Wayne Trail/SR 25 (Exit 201B) is closed for reconstruction through May 2022.
    • Detour: Northbound I-75 to Erie St. (Exit 201A) to Washington St.
  • Nebraska Avenue is closed over I-75 between Division Street and Erie Street for bridge replacement through July 2022.
    • Detour: Erie St. to Collingwood Blvd. to Nebraska Ave.
  • Ramp from northbound/inbound Anthony Wayne Trail to northbound I-75 is closed for ramp reconfiguration through summer 2022.
    • Detour: Anthony Wayne Trail to Washington St. to northbound I-75.
  • Ramp from southbound/outbound Anthony Wayne Trail to southbound I-75 is closed for ramp reconfiguration through summer 2022.
    • Detour: Washington St. to Dorr St. to Collingwood Blvd. to southbound I-75.

Various locations will experience lane and shoulder restrictions for saw cutting and ADA sidewalk preparation:

  • Michigan St. between Jackson St. and Adams St.
  • Byrne Rd. at Arlington Ave.
  • Hill Ave. between Wenz Rd. and Torrington Dr.
  • Cherry St. at Huron St.
  • Adams St. at 14th
  • Tremainsville Rd. at Whitmer Dr.
  • Tremainsville Rd. at Westbrook Dr.
  • Tremainsville Rd. at Witchita Rd.
  • Secor Rd. at McGregor Ln.

Various routes district-wide will experience lane restrictions for routine guardrail, lighting, and pavement maintenance throughout the year.
