BUTLER COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending November 20, 2021: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Butler County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. CONTINUING & NEW IMPACTS I-75 Resurfacing - Pavement repair and resurfacing between the Hamilton-Butler County line (Crescentville Road) to just north of Tylersville Road. Traffic will be maintained with single-lane restrictions in effect through the work zone; double-lane closures may be in effect during late evening/overnight hours as needed. A reduced speed limit is also in effect. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall.  I-75 Bridge Maintenance - I-75 North and South, between Tylersville Road and S.R. 129. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 16 and 17, multi-lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. (Single-lane closures will begin at 8 p.m., followed by double-lane at 9 p.m. and triple-lane at 11 p.m. each night. Double and triple-lane restrictions will be lifted by 5 a.m. the following day; single-lane closures will be lifted by 6 a.m.)

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 4/Bypass S.R. 4 Intersection Improvement - Widening at the northern intersection of S.R. 4 and S.R. 4 Bypass, north of Hamilton. Various single-lane closures will in effect as needed. The entire project is scheduled for completion in Fall 2021.

S.R. 4/S.R. 747 Intersection Improvement - Construction of a northbound right turn lane on S.R. 747 at S.R. 4. Paving operations and signalization work continues, and traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in either direction. Single-lane closures will be in effect on either route daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

S.R. 122 Intersection Improvement - At the intersection of Roosevelt and Breiel boulevards in Middletown. Lane restrictions will be in effect on both routes; however, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane. Construction is scheduled to be completed in mid- to late fall of 2021.

S.R. 129 Interchange Improvement - At Liberty Way and I-75. A project by the Butler County Engineer's Office to extend S.R. 129 east to a roundabout at Cox Road, north of Liberty Way. Various nighttime restrictions will be in effect on the ramps to/from I-75; however, traffic will be maintained. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2022.

U.S. 127 Roundabout - At the intersection with S.R. 73. Various lane restrictions will be in effect on U.S. 127 and S.R. 73 throughout construction, including single-lane closures on both routes daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during hours of operation. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.
