HAMILTON COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
Through the week ending November 6, 2021: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Hamilton County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. INTERSTATE 71 CONSTRUCTION
I-71 Major Rehabilitation - Widening to three lanes between S.R. 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway) and S.R. 562 (Norwood Lateral), as well as bridge work at multiple structures and removing the Ridge Road exit and adding an exit to Kennedy Avenue on northbound I-71. The project is nearing completion; however, intermittent single-lane closures will be in effect through the work zone during late evening and overnight hours.
I-71 Utility Work - On I-71 North at Second Street. The ramp from Second Street to I-71 North will be closed and the right lane of I-71 North will be closed just before and after the ramp from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct.31.

INTERSTATE 74 CONSTRUCTION
I-74 Slide Repair - At the Colerain/Beekman ramp to I-74 West. Traffic will be maintained, and intermittent restrictions may be in effect on I-74 at the interchange. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2021.
I-74/I-275 Bridge Maintenance - Single-lane closure will be in effect in the left lane of I-74 East at the Wesselman Road overpass, just east of the S.R. 128 on-ramp, from 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, to 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. A double-lane closure will be in effect from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.

INTERSTATE 75 CONSTRUCTION
I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation - Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Work also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane closures and restrictions will be in effect in the construction zone; however, traffic will be maintained on both I-74 and I-75.
Friday, Oct. 29:
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Colerain Avenue to the I-75 South merge between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.
- Full closure of the ramp from Beekman Street to I-74 East between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday.
Saturday, Oct. 30:
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Colerain Avenue to the I-75 South merge between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 31.
Monday, Nov. 1:
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Colerain Avenue to the I-75 South merge from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2.
- Full closure of the ramp from Beekman Street to I-74 East between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Monday through Thursday, Nov. 1-4:
- Single-lane closure on I-74 West from the I-75 merge to Montana Avenue nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day.
I-75 Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation - Between Glendale-Milford Road and the Kemper Road overpass. Lane and shoulder restrictions will be in effect on the mainline, as well as on the ramps at the Sharon Road interchange, including the following, weather permitting.

Saturday, Oct. 30: Sharon Road will be closed between the I-75 North and South ramps from 12:01 to 4 a.m. Saturday. Westbound Sharon Road traffic to I-75 South will be detoured by way of Canal Road/ Evendale Drive and the Glendale Milford Road interchange. Eastbound traffic to I-75 North will be detoured via I-75 South to the Glendale Milford Road interchange and I-75 North.

I-275 Slide Repair - Near the Kilby Road interchange. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone; however, I-275 may be subject to intermittent lane restrictions, and the ramps to/from Kilby Road may be subject to intermittent, short-term full closures during overnight hours. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2021.
I-275 Slide Repair - Along the left side of the entrance ramp from southbound Loveland Madeira Road to I-275 West. Intermittent restrictions may be in place on the slip ramp; however, traffic will be maintained. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2021.

NEW IMPACT
S.R. 264 (Bridgetown Road) Culvert Replacement - Immediately west of Fiddlers Green Road. Bridgetown Road is closed through mid-November. Traffic will be detoured by way of Shady Lane, U.S. Route 50 and Fiddlers Green Road.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
Brent Spence Bridge Maintenance - A bridge repair project on Brent Spence Bridge by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet through mid-November 2021.
- I-75 South is open to two, 11-foot lanes on the bridge.
- The ramps from southbound I-71 to the bridge, as well as from Fort Washington Way and Third Street to I-71 South and the bridge, are closed. Southbound I-71 traffic is being detoured via I-471 and I-275.
John A. Roebling Bridge Restoration - The suspension bridge between Cincinnati and Covington is closed for a bridge restoration by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Motorists may detour via the Clay Wade Bailey (U.S. 25/42/127) Bridge or the 4th Street/Veterans Bridge. Interim completion is scheduled for late November 2021, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 31.
Weller Road Bridge Rehabilitation - Over I-275, between Bridgewater Lane and Indian Woods/Weller Woods Drive. The bridge is closed through early December 2021, and traffic is being detoured by way of Weil Road, Kemper Road and U.S. Route 22 (Montgomery Road).
Deer Park Pedestrian Connector - On St. John's Terrace, Blue Ash Road and Orchard Lane. Replacement of curb and gutter, drive aprons, installation of signage and pavement markings. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed through the work zone. Construction is scheduled to be completed by late fall of 2021.
S.R. 125 Beechmont Bridge Connector/LMSRT - Intermittent, single-lane closures in either direction on S.R. 125 (Beechmont Avenue), between the S.R. 32 interchange and Beechmont Circle. The ramp from S.R. 32 West to S.R. 125 West is closed through mid-November. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 125 East, Sutton Avenue, Salem Road, U.S. 52 West and Wilmer Avenue to S.R. 125.
S.R. 264 Resurfacing - Between U.S. 50 and Indian Brave Trail near Cleves. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during hours of operation. The project is scheduled to be completed by late November.
U.S. 22 (Gilbert Avenue) Bridge Repair - Over Eggleston Avenue and Culvert Street in Cincinnati. Single-lane closures are in effect between Court and Broadway streets, and the sidewalk along the bridge is closed, and restrictions will also be in place in the parking area beneath the bridge to within five feet of the work area.
U.S. 27 (Colerain Avenue) Sidewalk Construction - On the west side of Colerain Ave. between Byrneside Drive and Banning Road. Southbound Colerain Avenue will be reduced to one lane in the work zone; other intermittent restrictions may in effect in the northbound direction.
U.S. 42 (Reading Road) Bridge Rehabilitation - Over Cooper Creek, near Cooper Road and the Reading corporation limit. Lane restrictions will be in effect through mid-fall. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction.
U.S. 42 (Reading Road) Sidewalk Construction - On the west side of U.S. 42, between Sunnybrook Drive and the S.R. 126 East exit ramp. Traffic impacts should be minimal; however, traffic will be maintained in the work area.
U.S. 42 (Lebanon Road) Intersection Improvement - At the intersection/interchange with I-275 and at Hauck Road, with intermittent, nightly (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.) restrictions in effect between Executive Drive and Fields Ertel Road. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone.
U.S. 50/Martin Drive Bridge Repair - On eastbound U.S. 50 (Columbia Parkway) to Martin Drive. Intermittent lane restrictions and ramp closure may be in effect during evening and overnight hours. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-fall.
