GREENE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending October 9, 2021: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Greene County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. INTERSTATE 675 CONSTRUCTION

I-675 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing Single and double-lane restrictions will be in effect in either direction between the Montgomery County line and North Fairfield Road and at interchanges within the construction zone nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day and daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

I-675 Overpasses/Deck & Parapet Sealing - Single-lane restrictions are in effect during daytime, business hours on the structures located on Feedwire, Wagner, Dayton-Xenia and Kemp roads over I-675. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers daily from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A single-lane closure will also be in place on Indian Ripple Road daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

 

U.S. 35 SUPERSTREET

U.S. 35 Superstreet - Between Factory Road and Orchard Lane. Traffic is being maintained in two lanes in each direction, with intermittent, single-lane restrictions may be in effect weekdays during evening/overnight hours, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2022.

T.R. 2 (Alpha Road) - North Alpha Road remains closed at U.S. 35. Motorists are being detoured via Orchard Lane, Dayton-Xenia Road and Factory Road. 


 

NEW IMPACT

S.R. 72 Culvert Replacement - Between Varsity Drive at Cedarville and Fishworm Road. SR. 72 will be closed Monday-Friday, Oct. 4-8, and traffic will be detoured via U.S. 42, U.S. 68 in Xenia and S.R. 343.

 

CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 235 Bridge Rehabilitation - Over Mud Run and Mad River, between S.R. 4 in Montgomery County and Medway Road. Restrictions have been lifted; however, crews will have finishing work to complete. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed, and the entire project is scheduled for completion in June 2022.

U.S. 68 Bridge Rehabilitation - Over Massie Creek, just south of S.R. 235. Traffic is being maintained in one lane with temporary signals. Single-lane restrictions should be lifted in early fall, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.

U.S. 68 Bridge Repair - On U.S. 68 (S. Detroit Street) over Shawnee Run, immediately south of Leaman Street in Xenia. Traffic on U.S. 68 over Shawnee Run will be maintained in a minimum of one, 12-foot lane in either direction. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall of 2021.

S.R. 380 & S.R. 725 Ditching - On S.R. 380, between Washington Road and Innovation Drive, and on S.R. 725, near Lower Bellbrook Road. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed.

S.R. 725, U.S. 35 & U.S. 42 Vegetation Clearing - On S.R. 725, between Lower Bellbrook Road and U.S. 42; on U.S. 35, near the interchange with Old 35; and on U.S. 42, between Hickman Road and Old US 42. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed.

U.S. 42 Drainage Repair - Near the Warren County line. Traffic will be maintained by arrow boards, traffic cones and/or flaggers as needed.
