SENECA COUNTY: Highway Construction Update

U.S. Route 23, between Wyandot Co. and Fostoria, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail. Estimated completion: October.

*Closure starts Monday*

U.S. Route 224 at State Route 53, Tiffin, will be closed beginning Monday, September 20 for 12 days. Sidewalk restrictions are possible. US 224 detour: SR 4 to SR 162 to SR 18. SR 53 detour: SR 18 to US 224 to SR 587.

State Route 19, between SR 101 and SR 228, Republic, is closed for a culvert replacement through early October. Detour: SR 19 to 228 to 101.

State Route 53, between Highland Park Estates and Cottage Dr., Tiffin, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing nightly overnight. Estimated completion: October.

State Route 100, between County Road 58 and Riverside Dr., Tiffin, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. Estimated completion: November.

State Route 101, between SR 778 and SR 19, Republic, will be closed for two culvert replacements, and will begin following the nearby SR 19 culvert closure. Estimated completion: early November. Detour: SR 778 to SR 19 to SR 101. Closure dates will be announced.

Various routes district-wide will experience lane restrictions for routine guardrail, lighting, and pavement markings and maintenance throughout the year.
