Hamilton County (Thursday, August 26, 2021) – A districtwide maintenance project on power services, fiber optics, and other ITS-related items is set to begin, with lane restrictions on state Route 126 going into effect next week.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, the right lane of S.R. 126 West, near Eldora Road, will be closed until 1:30 p.m.
Then, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 2, the right lane of S.R. 126 West, just east of Knollcrest Road, will be closed until 12 p.m.
Also, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 3, the right lane of S.R. 126 West, near Plainfield Road, will be closed until 1:30 p.m.
Throughout construction, various restrictions will be utilized on state Routes, U.S. routes and Interstates throughout District 8. Traffic will be maintained through the work zones; however, motorists are advised of the need for additional caution.
Bansal Construction, Inc., was awarded the $996,000 project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in spring 2023.
