Hamilton County (Friday, August 6, 2021) – Various lane closures will be in place on the U.S. Route 42 safety improvement project at Interstate 275 in Sharonville.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, August 10, restrictions will be in place on northbound and southbound U.S. 42 between Executive Park Drive and Fields Ertel Road until 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 11. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
Part 1 of the entire, two-part project calls for ramp improvements at the interchange and lane re-assignment on U.S. 42 through the interchange and at Hauck Road, with the addition of a dedicated right thru lane on southbound U.S. 42 at Hauck Road and a sidewalk north of Hauck Road.
Part 2 includes widening of Hauck Road to three lanes to add a center, two-way, left-turn lane, as well as curb and gutter installation; culvert replacement; railroad crossing improvements; storm sewer system replacement; and sidewalk construction on the north side of Hauck Road.
Additional restrictions and lane closures will be in effect on U.S. 42 and Hauck Road, and these will be announced as the project advances through construction.
Complete General Construction Co. was awarded a contract for approximately $8.9 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.
