PORTAGE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF AUGUST 9
AKRON, Ohio (Thursday, August 5, 2021) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Portage County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Interstate 76/Tallmadge Rd. project |
Interstate 76/Tallmadge Rd./Mogadore Ave. reconstruction, Brimfield Township The following lane restriction and closures are in place:
- Northbound Mogadore Rd., north of Tallmadge Rd. is closed through late October. The detour is Tallmadge Rd. to State Route 43 to State Route 261.
- Tallmadge Rd. between Cascades Blvd. and Sunnybrook Ave. is reduced to one lane in each direction through late October.
- Mogadore Rd. south of I-76 is CLOSED through July 2023. The detour is Mogadore Rd. to Old Forge Rd. to State Route 43 to Tallmadge Rd.

State Route 44 culvert replacements, Randolph Township NEW IMPACTS – Beginning on Monday, August 9, State Route 44 south of Bassett Rd. be closed through Friday, August 13 for two culvert replacements. The detour will be U.S. 224 to State Route 43 to I-76.
State Route 225 culvert replacement, Palmyra Township NEW IMPACT Beginning on Monday, August 9, SR 225 between Yale Rd and Williams Rd will be closed though early August for a culvert replacement. The detour will be SR 14 to I-76.
