DELAWARE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF AUGUST 8, 2021

DELAWARE, Ohio (Thursday, August 5, 2021) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Delaware County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

SR 315

State Route 315

NEW IMPACTS

SR 315 between Bean-Oller Rd. and Hyatts Rd. will close starting Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 20 for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 315 to SR 750 to U.S. 23 to SR 315 or reverse.

US 36_small

U.S. Route 36

CONTINUING IMPACTS

U.S. 36 Intersection Safety Improvement - The intersection of U.S. 36 and SR 257 will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.) starting Monday, August 2 through October 2021 for traffic signal installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • I-71 southbound between Gemini Place and I-270 will have nightly lane restrictions (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15 for resurfacing work. 
  • The Gemini Place ramp to I-71 southbound will close nightly (7 p.m. - 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: Gemini Pl. to Polaris Pkwy. eastbound to Cleveland Ave. southbound to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound. 
  • The I-71 southbound ramps to I-270 eastbound and westbound will close nightly (10 p.m. - 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 eastbound to I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound/westbound. 
  • The Polaris Parkway eastbound and westbound ramps to I-71 southbound will close nightly (8 p.m. - 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Eastbound detour: Cleveland Ave. southbound to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound. 
    • Westbound detour: U.S. 23 southbound to I-270 eastbound to I-71 southbound.

The following ramps will close weekdays, Monday - Friday (11 p.m. - 5 a.m.) and weekends, Saturday and Sunday (8 p.m. - 8 a.m.) for resurfacing: 

  • The I-71 southbound ramp to I-270 westbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 to I-71 northbound to I-270 westbound.
  • The I-71 southbound ramp to I-270 eastbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 to I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound.
  • The I-71 northbound ramp to I-270 westbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound.
  • The I-270 eastbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound. 
  • The I-270 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
    • Detour: I-270 westbound to U.S. 23 southbound to SR 161 eastbound to I-71 southbound.

State Route 61

CONTINUING IMPACTS

SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 Roundabout - The intersection of SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 will close starting Tuesday, June 1 through August 2021 for construction of a peanut roundabout.

  • Detour: SR 61 to I-71 southbound to US 36 eastbound to SR 36/3 eastbound to SR 61 or reverse.
