SENECA COUNTY: Highway Construction Update


US 23_large

U.S. Route 23, between Wyandot Co. and Fostoria, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail. Estimated completion: October.


US 224_large

U.S. Route 224, between TR 109 and TR 113, Tiffin, is closed for a culvert replacement. Estimated completion: Friday, July 23. Detour: SR 18 to SR 587


State Route 19, between CR 24 and CR 38, Republic, will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Monday, August 9. Estimated completion: August 27. Detour: SR 18 to CR 113 to SR 101. Additional closures will be announced for culverts on SR 19 and SR 101.


State Route 53, between Highland Park Estates and Cottage Dr., Tiffin, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing beginning Monday, August 3. Estimated completion: September.


State Route 100, between County Road 58 and Riverside Dr., Tiffin, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. Estimated completion: November.

  • SR 100, between Township Road 58 and Township Road 17, will be closed for bridge repair Monday, August 2 through Wednesday, August 4. Detour: SR 67 to US 224 to SR 100

Various routes district-wide will experience lane restrictions for routine guardrail, lighting, and pavement markings and maintenance throughout the year.
