Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF JULY 26, 2021
Chillicothe, Ohio (Thursday, July 22, 2021) -The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Highland County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.
NEW* S.R. 41 Tree Trimming- S.R. 41 will be closed for 5 days between S.R. 124 and Couch Road for tree trimming starting July 26. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 124 to S.R. 506 to S.R. 753. Estimated completion: July 30 by 5 PM
NEW* S.R. 135 Culvert Replacement – S.R. 135 will be closed for four days at the intersection of S.R. 135 and Glenavy Drive. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 134 to U.S. 50. Glenavy Drive will have full access from the North coming out of the Village of Lynchburg. Estimated completion: July 30th
S.R. 41 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 41 will be reduced to one lane between Brushcreek Road and Strait Creek Road starting June 21. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Fall 2021
S.R. 134 Resurfacing – S.R. 134 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 7 PM starting June 7. Work will take place between Murtland Road and U.S. 50, and between U.S. 50 and the Clinton County Line. Work will begin in the village of Lynchburg. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021
S.R. 134 Resurfacing – S.R. 134 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 7 PM between Greenbrush Road and Murtland Road starting June 1. Starting June 7, resurfacing work will begin and lane closures will occur daily Mon-Fri. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2021.
S.R. 28/S.R. 138/S.R. 753 Resurfacing – This project will resurface portions of three routes in Highland County starting April 19: S.R. 28 between Leesburg and Greenfield; S.R. 138 between 7th Street and Jefferson Street in the village of Greenfield; S.R. 753 between Snake Road and McKell Avenue. The affected routes will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 AM to 5 PM during construction. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Estimated completion: Summer 2021
