Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF JULY 12, 2021

Chillicothe, Ohio (Thursday, July 8, 2021) -The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Brown County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

NEW* S.R. 763 Culvert Replacements – S.R. 763 will be closed for 25 days for replacement of 10 culverts along the route between West Fork Road and Bradysville Road starting July 19. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 41, S.R. 136, and S.R. 125. Estimated completion: August 13 by 3:30 PM

NEW* S.R. 763 Tree Trimming – S.R. 763 will be closed daily from 7 AM to 5 PM for five days between S.R. 41 and East Fork Road starting July 12. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 41, S.R. 136, and S.R. 125. Estimated completion: July 16 by 5 PM

NEW* S.R. 774 Culvert Replacement – S.R. 774 will be closed for five days between Love Day Road and Pride Hill Road starting July 12. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 125, S.R. 505, and S.R. 756. Estimated completion: July 16

NEW* U.S. 52 Slide Repair – U.S. 52 will be reduced to one lane between the village of Higginsport and the Clermont County Line starting July 12. Traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 774 Bridge Replacement – S.R. 774 will be closed immediately west of U.S. 68 at the entrance to Grant Lake State Park beginning June 21. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 68 and S.R. 125. Estimated completion: Fall 2021

S.R. 286 Culvert Replacement – S.R. 286 will be closed for 14 days between U.S. 68 and Bodman Road starting June 21. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 68, S.R. 131, and U.S. 50.

S.R. 505 Culvert Replacement – S.R. 505 will be closed just south of the intersection with S.R. 756 starting May 24. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 52, S.R. 133, and S.R. 756. Estimated completion: Summer 2021

S.R. 41 Safety Improvements – This project includes safety improvements on S.R. 41 between Ellis Run Road and Catbird Lane starting June 1. Improvements include resurfacing, widened shoulders, new signage and guardrail, and two culvert replacements. Traffic will be maintained in one lane using temporary signals for much of construction.  Estimated completion: Summer 2021
