JEFFERSON COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF JUNE 21, 2021
New Philadelphia, Ohio (June 17, 2021) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Jefferson County. All outlined work is weather permitting.
The following projects are ongoing in Jefferson County:

State Route 7 Projects
State Route 7 resurfacing project near Wellsville: Project includes the resurfacing of SR 7 from Stratton to Wellsville. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction with a 15' width restriction. Completion date is June 30, 2021.
State Route 7 restricted near Mingo Junction: SR 7 is restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction due to a landslide. Future work will take place to repair the hillside. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
State Route 7 resurfacing near Brilliant: This project includes the resurfacing of nearly 3.5 miles of SR 7 from the north end of Brilliant to Salt Run. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The completion date is August 31, 2021.

U.S. Route 22 Project
U.S. 22 upcoming resurfacing project: Project to resurface five miles of U.S. 22 near Wintersville from just east of SR 43 to SR 7. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction. Similar lane closures may take place throughout the project along SR 7 near the U.S. 22 interchange. The completion date is September 30, 2021.

State Route 164 closed in Bergholz: Construction is underway to replace the SR 164 bridge located in Bergholz. The detour: SR 524 north to SR 39, SR 39 west to SR 43, SR 43 south back to SR 164, and reverse.
