REVISED DUE TO WEATHER

U.S. 127/S.R. 73 Roundabout Project

Northbound Huston Road slated for closure at U.S. 127

Butler County (Wednesday, June 2, 2021) – Due to the rainy weather, the start date for construction of a roundabout on U.S. Route 127 in Butler County has been postponed until next week.

Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be constructing a single-lane roundabout on U.S. 127 at the northern (west) junction with state Route 73 (Trenton Oxford Road) in the community of Collinsville.

Throughout most of the project, traffic on U.S. 127 and S.R. 73 will be maintained in all directions, with intermittent restrictions in effect during hours of operation. In addition to these restrictions, northbound Huston Road will be closed at the east junction with U.S. 127 for up to 75 days.

The Huston Road closure is scheduled to go into effect Tuesday, June 8, and traffic will be detoured via Hamilton Eaton Road and Trenton Oxford Road. The south leg of Huston Road off westbound S.R. 73 will not be affected by this closure.

The Sunesis Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $2.6 million to construct the roundabout, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by late spring or early summer of 2022.
