Delays expected tomorrow along U.S. Routes 250 and 22

25022

Motorists are advised to expect possible delays tomorrow, Thursday, May 6, along U.S. Route 250 and U.S. Route 22 for the installation of centerline rumble striping in Harrison County.

ODOT's contractor will begin this work at 7 a.m. on U.S. Route 250 from the Harrison/Tuscarawas County line to the Tappan Lake Dam area. Upon completing work at that location, the contractor will proceed to the two-lane section of U.S.Route 22 located between Cadiz and Hopedale

During this work, traffic will be maintained via flaggers. Motorists are advised to expect possible travel delays associated with this work.  Weather permitting, all work is to be completed in one day.

The installation of the centerline rumble striping is part of the Ohio Department of Transportation's ongoing effort to improve safety. The purpose of the centerline rumble strips is to alert drivers whose vehicle is crossing the centerline on two-lane, two-way roadways to avoid potential head-on and sideswipe crashes with opposing traffic.
