TRAFFIC ADVISORY

I-675 Resurfacing/Rehabilitation Update

Greene County (Friday, April 9, 2021) – As part of the Interstate 675 rehabilitation and resurfacing project in Greene County, the following traffic changes and restrictions will be imparted in the coming week.

Beginning Monday, April 12, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will implement a contraflow lane between Dayton-Xenia Road and Shakertown Road during the evening and overnight hours.

Crews will be working from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, and following this, one lane of northbound traffic will be maintained in the contraflow lane on the southbound side of the interstate, and two lanes of northbound traffic will continue to be maintained on the northbound side. Three lanes will also be maintained for southbound I-675 traffic.

Moving into this year's construction season, single and double-lane restrictions will also be in effect in either direction between the Montgomery County line and North Fairfield Road and at interchanges within the construction zone nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. I-675 will also be subject to intermittent single-lane restrictions daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to these changes and restrictions, single-lane closures are in place on Dayton-Xenia Road over I-675. Traffic is being maintained in a minimum of one lane in either direction through the work zone, and restrictions are anticipated to be in effect through mid-summer.

The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $26.1 million to complete the pavement repair and resurfacing project on I-675, and the entire project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2022.
