Preble County: S.R. 177 Safety Improvement Project To Begin This Week

S.R. 177 Safety Improvement Starts This Week

Preble County (Monday, March 22, 2021) – A safety improvement project on state Route 177 in Preble County is scheduled to begin, and lane restrictions will go into effect this week.

Contractors with Eagle Bridge Company will start clearing and grubbing this week on S.R. 177, requiring various lane closures at the intersection of Oxford Germantown Road. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, and traffic will be maintained with flaggers.

Eagle Bridge Company was awarded a contract for approximately $599,000 to improve the sight distance at the intersection by adjusting the profile and vertical curves on S.R. 177 North and South. Construction is scheduled to be complete in September 2021.
