ODOT to present project information online regarding State Route 46/Warren-Sharon Road Intersection Improvements

A pre-recorded presentation will detail proposed improvements at the intersection in Trumbull County

AKRON - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) would like to invite you to participate in a virtual open house by viewing a pre-recorded, online presentation regarding a proposed project that will improve safety around the State Route 46 and Warren-Sharon Road intersection in Howland Township, Trumbull County, Ohio.

The proposed project is currently in the preliminary engineering phase that includes surveys, environmental studies, engineering and preliminary design tasks. Completion of the preliminary engineering phase is expected in January 2021. The project is expected to require minor new permanent and temporary rights-of-way. A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout construction. Access to all commercial and residential properties will be maintained. Pedestrian traffic will also be maintained via existing sidewalks and detour routes. Project construction is expected to begin in Spring 2025 and last approximately seven months.

The purpose of the virtual open house is to share a presentation to explain the overall project, present the findings from the safety study (including the potential impacts), and receive your input. The recorded presentation and all materials regarding the project will be available beginning January 21, 2021 at the following website:  http://www.publicinput.com/TRU109520.  To comply with Governor DeWine’s guidelines regarding limiting social gatherings in response to COVID-19, ODOT is presenting the project information online, by phone, or by mail only.

The public is asked to review the presentation and project materials and provide feedback.  Comments regarding the project may be submitted on the website through the comment submittal form, or by direct contact at the number below.  Comments are welcome at any time but must be received by February 19, 2021 to be considered during this phase of development.

Individuals without internet access can request a transcript and hard copy of the materials by contacting ODOT District 4 at the number provided below.  Individuals who require interpretation or translation services or a reasonable accommodation to participate in this meeting should contact me as soon as possible. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
