Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project Update

Hamilton County (Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021) - The following restrictions will be in place tonight for the Interstate 74/75 Mill Creek Expressway project.

Tuesday, Jan. 19:

  • Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Colerain Avenue to the I-75 interchange between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20.
  • Intermittent, short-term (15-minute duration) full closures on I-74 and I-75 within the construction zone between midnight and 5 a.m. Wednesday.

In addition, restrictions will be in place this weekend on westbound I-74 for bridge demolition. 

Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, I-74 West will be closed between the split from I-75 North and the entrance ramp from I-75 South. The closure will be in effect until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, and traffic will be detoured by way of I-75 North and Mitchell Avenue to I-75 South and I-74 West.

Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution through the work zone to help ensure the safety of crews as well as the traveling public: Remain alert, reduce speed and watch for stopped traffic.
