S.R. 207 Culvert Replacement

Chillicothe (Thursday, January 7, 2020) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a culvert replacement on S.R. 207 in Ross County.

ROS-SR 207-9.32 (PID: 102911) - It is proposed to replace the structure on SR 207 at the 9.32 mile mark in Ross County, Ohio. The project is located in a rural area of Union Township.

The existing structure is an 84” x 55” concrete box culvert. The new structure will be a 84” Type A conduit with half height headwalls.

The project will require approximately 0.344 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located along the stream channel, agriculture fields and forested hillside.

No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

The roadway will be closed for the duration of the project.

The state detour will be SR 207 to SR 104 to US 35 to SR 138 to SR 207. The state detour is approximately 23 miles.

The local detour will be SR 207 to SR 104 to CR 127 (Pleasant Valley Rd.) to CR 127 (Egypt Pike) SR 138 to SR 207. The local detour is approximately 19 miles.
