HAMILTON COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending November 28, 2020: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Hamilton County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. I 71-75 BSB

**BRENT SPENCE BRIDGE CLOSURE**

The Brent Spence Bridge, carrying I-71/75 across the Ohio River, is closed until further notice. All heavy truck and through traffic motorists are being detoured via the I-275 outer belt, as well as I-471 and I-71.

INTERSTATE 71 CONSTRUCTION

I-71 Major Rehabilitation  - Widening to three lanes between S.R. 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway) and S.R. 562 (Norwood Lateral), as well as bridge work at multiple structures and removing the Ridge Road exit and adding an exit to Kennedy Avenue on northbound I-71. Various lane restrictions will be in effect during nighttime hours for pavement work. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021.  

I-71 CONTINUING IMPACTS

I-71 Major Rehabilitation - Red Bank Road is reduced to one lane between Big Chief Drive and Ehrling Road. The single-lane restriction will be in effect through early November, and traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. 

I-71 Stream Stabilization - Along I-71 North at the Stewart Road exit. Traffic on the exit ramp has been shifted and is being maintained in one lane. Restrictions will be in effect through November.

INTERSTATE 75 CONSTRUCTION

I-75 Slide Repair - Along I-75 South near the entrance ramp from Hopple Street. The right lane and shoulder of southbound I-75 will be subject to evening and overnight closure between the Hopple Street interchange and the Marshall Avenue overpass nightly from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. The project is scheduled for completion in late November.

I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation  - Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Construction also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane closures will be in effect through the construction zone. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.

I-75/Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation  - Addition of a fourth lane from Shepherd Lane to Glendale-Milford Road, as well as reconstructing the Shepherd Lane interchange and realigning Neumann Way. Various lane restrictions will be in effect through the construction zone, and Mangham Drive is closed until approximately Nov. 22. Motorists will be detoured via Shepherd Lane, Wayne Avenue and Steffen Avenue. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2021.

INTERSTATE 275 CONSTRUCTION

 

I-275 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing  - Between the Four Mile Road interchange to the south end of the Combs Hehl (Ohio River) Bridge in Kentucky. Various lane and ramp closures will be in effect through the construction zone. All work is anticipated to be completed by mid-fall of 2020.

 


CONTINUING IMPACTS

C.R. 251 (Blue Ash Road) Pavement Reconstruction - Between Duneden Avenue and Galbraith Road in Deer Park. Blue Ash Road is closed to southbound traffic. Motorists will be detoured via Plainfield and Galbraith roads.

S.R. 125 Bridge Rehabilitation - Between Berkshire Lane and Brachman Avenue, midway between S.R. 32 and Five Mile Road. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in either direction throughout construction. Berkshire Lane will be maintained by flaggers as needed during hours of operation. All work is scheduled for completion in late summer 2021.

U.S. 22/S.R. 126 Roundabout  - At the intersection of U.S. 22 (Montgomery Road) and S.R. 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway) for the Montgomery Quarter Development project. Traffic is being maintained in a minimum of one lane on Montgomery Road; however, intermittent lane restrictions and closures may be in effect at the interchange ramps to and from Montgomery Road. The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2021.

U.S. 50 Resurfacing - Between Homewood Road and the western corporation limit of Terrace Park. Single-lane restrictions will be in effect in either direction, and traffic will be maintained by law enforcement officers, barrels and/or flaggers as needed. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-fall of 2020.
