COLUMBIANA COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF OCTOBER 19, 2020

New Philadelphia, Ohio (October 16, 2020) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Columbiana County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.


The following projects are ongoing in Columbiana County:

US 30_large

U.S. Route 30 Projects

U.S.Route 30 (Lincoln Way) traffic signal upgrade: Project includes signal upgrades at the intersections of U.S. 30 (Lincoln Way) with SR 45/SR 154, Beaver Street, Market Street, and Jefferson Street. Completion date is October 31, 2020.

U.S. Route 30 resurfacing project: Resurfacing of U.S. Route 30 from SR 7/SR 267 to SR 170. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. Completion date is October 31, 2020.

SR 7

State Route 7 Projects

SR 7 resurfacing project: from Stratton to Wellsville. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction with a 15' width restriction. Completion date is October 31, 2020.

SR 7 bridge replacement: located east of Columbiana between SR 14 and Metz Road. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date is June 30, 2021.

Safety project in East Palestine: Project includes the installation of pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades, and pedestrian signal upgrades. Traffic maintained via flaggers when necessary. Completion date is November 30, 2020.

Multiple Columbiana County routes to be resurfaced: Project includes the resurfacing of  SR 45 in Salem from Township Road 410 to U.S. Route 62, SR 558 from SR 45 to SR 517, and SR 9 from the Carroll/Columbiana County line to U.S. Route 30. Completion date is November 30, 2020.
