BELMONT COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2020
New Philadelphia, Ohio (September 17, 2020) -The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Belmont County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.
State Route 647 slide repair: Work is set to begin Monday, September 21, to repair a slide located just east of County Road 4. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signal and an 11-foot width restriction. Completion date: June 23, 2021.

WVDOH I-70 bridge replacement project: Located along I-70 between Marion St. and the Ohio/West Virginia state line. East and westbound traffic restricted to one, 12' lane via crossovers. This work is part of the West Virginia Department of Highway's I-70 corridor project. For more information on this project visit I70forward.com.

State Route 7 Project
State Route 7 southbound slide repair: Project located just north of the SR 7 southbound exit for Bridgeport/Wheeling. The shoulder will be closed at this location, lane restrictions may occur intermittently throughout the project. Completion date is: October 31, 2020.

State Route 9 slide repair south of New Athens: Located 2.5 south of New Athens. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals with an 11-foot width restriction. Completion date is October 31, 2020.
State Route 9 slide repair project south of St. Clairsville: Located 3.5 miles south of St. Clairsville. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals with an 11-foot width restriction. Completion date: October 15, 2020.
SR 148 slide repair project: Located east of Armstrong Mills between Ramsey Ridge Road and Clover Ridge Road. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date: September 30, 2020.
