GREENE COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending August 22, 2020: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Greene County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. INTERSTATE 675 CONSTRUCTION

I-675 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing Single and double-lane restrictions will be in effect in either direction between the Montgomery County line and North Fairfield Road. Restrictions will also be in effect on overpasses and at interchanges within the construction zone for bridge repair. The entire project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2022.

 

I-675 CONTINUING IMPACTS

C.R. 140 (Wagner Road) - Single-lane restriction over I-675, between Wayside and Oleva drives. Traffic is being maintained by temporary signals, and the restrictions are anticipated to be in effect through late July 2020.

U.S. 35 - The ramp from eastbound U.S. 35 to southbound I-675 is closed for up to 130-days, through mid-October. Traffic is being detoured by way of Research Boulevard and North Fairfield Road.

I-675 Southbound - A contraflow lane is now open for southbound motorists on the northbound side of the interstate.

I-675 NEW IMPACTS

C.R. 21 (Feedwire Road) - Single-lane restrictions over I-675 Sunday, August 16, through Friday, August 21, from 9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. 

C.R. 40 (Kemp Road) - Single-lane restrictions over I-675 will be in effect daily. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during the initial phase of work, followed by temporary traffic signals. Restrictions are anticipated to be in effect through late fall.


CONTINUING IMPACTS

S.R. 444 Resurfacing - Between Parkwood and Dayton drives in Fairborn. S.R. 444 will be closed to northbound traffic, and local motorists will be detoured by way of Garland Avenue, Maple Avenue and Dayton Drive. Southbound traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. All work is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall of 2020.

US 42_large

U.S. 42 Restricted Crossing U-Turn (RCUT)  - At the intersection at U.S. 42 and C.R. 75 (Spring Valley Paintersville Road). Traffic is being maintained on U.S. 42 through the construction zone. Westbound SVPR is closed at the intersection, and traffic will be detoured via S.R. 380 North and Krepps Road or S.R. 380 South and Roxanna New Burlington Road. All work is scheduled for completion in late Fall 2020.


US 35_small

U.S. 35 Superstreet - Various restrictions between Factory Road and Orchard Lane for construction of an RCUT-style Superstreet. Traffic on U.S. 35 will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction. Intersecting streets will be affected at various intervals during construction. The project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2022.


NEW IMPACTS

T.R. 2 (Alpha Road) Drainage Installation - N. Alpha Road is closed at U.S. 35 for storm drainage installation as part of the U.S. 35 Superstreet project. Traffic will be detoured via Orchard Lane, Dayton-Xenia Road and Factory Road. The route is scheduled to be reopened by August 17.

T.R. 1217 (Orchard Lane) Drainage Installation - Orchard Lane is scheduled to be closed nightly at U.S. 35 August 17-22. The overnight closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day, and traffic will be detoured via N. Alpha Road and Heller Drive. The closure of Orchard Lane will be contingent upon the reopening of N. Alpha Road.

S.R. 72 Shoulder Repair – Between Straley Road and Cedarville. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and/or arrow boards.
