GUERNSEY COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF 7/27/2020
Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, July 23, 2020) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Guernsey County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 209 |
SR 209 bridge replacement between Turner Avenue and Jefferson Avenue - SR 209 closure for bridge replacement between Turner Ave. and Jefferson Ave. Estimated completion is Fall 2020.

New impacts: SR 209 will close for 15 days beginning Monday, July 27. Detour: SR 209 to Woodlawn Ave. to Morton Ave. to S. 11th Street to Wheeling Ave. (U.S. 22) to SR 209.
U.S. Route 22 daily closures for culvert replacements - ODOT crews will be replacing multiple culverts on U.S. 22 between SR 513 and Repik Lane. A short section of roadway will be closed each day for a culvert replacement, progressively moving eastbound day to day.

New impacts: Daily road closures for culvert replacements will begin on Monday, July 27. Detour: SR 513 SB to I-70 EB to SR 800 NB and reverse. Estimated completion is Friday, August 14.

State Route 265 |
State Route 265 slide repair east of Quaker City - SR 265 closure between Eldon Road and Shannon Run Road. Estimated completion is Friday, July 31.

New impacts: SR 209 is scheduled to close on Monday, July 27. Detour: SR 265 to SR 513 to SR 147 to SR 265.
State Route 265 bridge replacement near Salesville - SR 265 closure for bridge replacement just east of Salesville between Yoker Valley Road and Ironhorse Lane. Estimated completion is Fall 2020.

New impacts: SR 265 will close for 21 days beginning Monday, August 3. Detour: SR 265 to SR 761 to SR 313 to SR 147 to SR 513 to SR 265 and reverse.
State Route 658 slide repair in Adams Township - SR 658 closure between Simmons Road and Sarchets Run Road. Estimated completion is Friday, August 7.

New impacts: SR 658 is scheduled to close on Monday, August 3. Detour: SR 658 to SR 541 to SR 93 to SR 662 to SR 209 to SR 658.
