OTTAWA COUNTY: Highway Construction Update
State Route 2 over the Sandusky Bay Bridge will experience shoulder restrictions for pier encasement repair. Estimated completion: December
State Route 2/West Fremont Road, between Kirk Road and South Wonnell Road, Port Clinton, may experience northbound lane restrictions for a slide repair. Estimated completion: September
State Route 51 Elmore Bridge reconstruction – SR 51 is closed between Rice Street and State Route 105, over the Portage River, for the Elmore Bridge replacement project through Friday, July 24. Lane restrictions may be necessary through November.
State Route 51 between Elmore and State Route 163 will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. SR 51, between SR 163 and W. Fulkert Road will be closed for pavement repairs the week of Monday, July 27. Detour: SR 163 to SR 590 to SR 105. Please follow ODOT District 2’s Facebook and/or Twitter for more information. State Route 163, in Oak Harbor, is closed through mid-August for work by the village of Oak Harbor. Please contact the village for more information.
Various routes district-wide will experience lane restrictions for routine guardrail, lighting, and pavement markings and maintenance throughout the year.
