HAMILTON COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending July 18, 2020: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Hamilton County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. INTERSTATE 71 CONSTRUCTION   I-71 Major Rehabilitation  - Widening to three lanes between S.R. 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway) and S.R. 562 (Norwood Lateral), as well as bridge work at multiple structures and removing the Ridge Road exit and adding an exit to Kennedy Avenue on northbound I-71. Various lane restrictions will be in effect during nighttime hours for pavement work. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021.

INTERSTATE 75 CONSTRUCTION   I-75/Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation  - Addition of a fourth lane from Shepherd Lane to Glendale-Milford Road, as well as reconstructing the Shepherd Lane interchange and realigning Neumann Way. Various lane restrictions will be in effect through the construction zone, and currently the Shepherd Lane bridge over I-75 is closed for reconstruction. Northbound motorists to Lincoln Heights are being detoured by way of Glendale-Milford Road and I-75 south; southbound motorists are being routed via Lockland/Reading Road interchange and Galbraith Road. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the early fall of 2020. I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation  - Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Construction also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane closures will be in effect through the construction zone. The project is scheduled to be completed in Fall of 2022.

I-275 Bridge Rehabilitation and Resurfacing  - Between the Four Mile Road interchange to the south end of the Combs Hehl (Ohio River) Bridge in Kentucky. Various lane and ramp closures will be in effect through the construction zone. All work is anticipated to be completed by early fall of 2020.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

U.S. 22/S.R. 126 Roundabout  - At the intersection of U.S. 22 (Montgomery Road) and S.R. 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross-County Highway) for the Montgomery Quarter Development project. Traffic is being maintained in a minimum of one lane on Montgomery Road; however, intermittent lane restrictions and closures may be in effect at the interchange ramps to and from Montgomery Road. The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2021.

U.S. 22 Sidewalk - Along U.S. 22 in Sycamore Township, from its intersection with Dearwester Drive to just south of Pinehurst Lane. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction; however, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions may necessary. Construction is scheduled to be completed by mid-fall of 2020.

U.S. 50 Resurfacing - Between Homewood and Newtown roads in the community of Mariemont. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone, and construction is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2020.

S.R. 4 Drainage - Various intermittent lane restrictions between Compton Road and Novner Drive during daytime, business hours for drainage work. Traffic will be maintained at all times. All work is scheduled to be completed by early summer 2020.

S.R. 125 Resurfacing - Between Voll Street and the Clermont County line in Anderson Township. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction. All work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2020.

C.R. 269 (Kenwood Road) Bridge Painting - Single-lane closures will be in effect on Kenwood Road between Montgomery and Euclid roads daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding weekends. Traffic will be maintained, and all work should be completed by late June.

NEW IMPACTS

S.R. 126 Cable Rail Installation - Installation of median cable barrier rail between I-75 and I-275. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, July 13, and will require nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one in either direction during installation.

S.R. 562 & I-71 Catch Basin Repair - Work on S.R. 562 at the ramp to Ridge Avenue and on I-71 at the ramp from S.R. 562. Traffic will be maintained.

Interstate Maintenance - Mowing, sweeping, berming, drainage work and cable barrier repair at various locations along I-71, I-74, I-75 and I-275 throughout the county. Single-lane closures will be in effect as needed, and traffic will be maintained by arrow boards.
