JEFFERSON COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF JUNE 22, 2020

New Philadelphia, Ohio (June 18, 2020) - The following construction projects are ongoing in Jefferson County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 7 Projects

State Route 7 northbound on-ramp closure in Mingo Junction: 30-day closure for a slide repair project on the Commercial Street on-ramp to SR 7 northbound in Mingo Junction. Traffic detoured via SR 7 south to Commercial Avenue to return to SR 7 northbound. Completion date: June 30, 2020.

SR 7 resurfacing project: SR 7 to be resurfaced from Stratton to Wellsville. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction with a 15' width restriction. Completion: October 31, 2020.

State Route 7 restricted near Mingo Junction: SR 7 is restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction due to a recent landslide. The completion date is unknown.

 

State Route 646 resurfacing project: This project includes the resurfacing of SR 646 from SR 152 to SR 43. Traffic maintained via flaggers. Completion date: October 15, 2020.

State Route 151 resurfacing project: Project includes the resurfacing of SR 151 from Hopedale to New Alexandria. Traffic maintained via flaggers. Completion date: September 30, 2020.

State Route 164 bridge replacement project in Bergholz: SR 164 restricted in Bergholz for a bridge replacement project. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date: September 30, 2021.

State Route 151 culvert replacement project east of New Alexandria: SR 151 restricted to one lane of traffic just west of SR 7 for a culvert replacement project. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date: August 31, 2020.
