BELMONT COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update
WEEK OF JUNE 22, 2020
New Philadelphia, Ohio (June 18, 2020) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Belmont County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.
U.S. Route 250 culvert replacement: Beginning Monday, June 22, U.S. Route 250 will close for five days in Bridgeport for a culvert replacement located between Laipple Street and Beeson Lane. This work will be performed by ODOT maintenance crews. Completion date: Friday, June 26.

U.S. Route 40 Resurfacing
U.S. 40 resurfacing project: Project includes the resurfacing of U.S. 40 from St. Clairsville to Blaine. Traffic maintained via flaggers. Completion date: September 30, 2020.

Work will take place along I-70 between Marion St. and the Ohio/West Virginia state line. East and westbound traffic restricted to one, 12' lane via crossovers. This work is part of the West Virginia Department of Highway's I-70 corridor project. For more information on this project visit I70forward.com.

State Route 647 resurfacing project: Project includes the resurfacing of SR 647 within the Martins Ferry Corporation limit from SR 7 to Ferryview Road. Traffic maintained via flaggers. Completion date: August 31, 2020.
SR 9 slide repair project: SR 9 is closed for 30 days south of Warnock for a slide repair project. Traffic will detour via SR 147 west to SR 149, SR 149 south back to SR 9, and reverse. Completion date for all work is August 31, 2020.
SR 647 closed for slide repair project: SR 647 is closed for 30 days west of Martins Ferry for a slide repair project. Traffic detoured via SR 7 south to U.S. 250, U.S. 250 west to SR 150, SR 150 east back to SR 647, and reverse. Completion date: June 18, 2020.
SR 148 slide repair project: Located east of Armstrong Mills between Ramsey Ridge Rd. and Clover Ridge Rd., one lane of traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date is September 30, 2020.
SR 149 closed for slide repair project: 120 days closure in Stewartsville for a slide repair project. Traffic detoured via SR 149 west to SR 9, SR 9 north to I-70, I-70 east to I-470, I-470 east to SR 7, SR 7 south back to SR 149, and reverse. Completion date: September 1, 2020.
SR 147 slide repair project: Located between Brown Hollow Rd. and Bellaire. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date: July 31, 2020.
