 Upcoming closures at SR 16/SR 37/SR 661 interchange in Granville

Beginning Tuesday, June 9, the SR 37/661 bridge over SR 16 will close to southbound traffic and will be detoured to the adjacent interchange, west of the project, via Weaver Drive to SR 16/Columbus Road/Cherry Street to Granview Road to Silver Street. SR 16EB/WB traffic wishing to travel to the SR 37/661 interchange will exit SR 16 at the adjacent interchange to the west. The bridge will be open to northbound traffic only. Motorists can also expect the following ramp closures during the 2020 construction season. All dates are estimated at this time. 

 June 9, 2020:

  • Entrance to SR 16 WB from SR 661 will close for approximately 2 months
  • Exit to SR 661 from SR 16 WB will close for approximately 3 months
  • Exit ramp from SR 16 EB to SR 661 will close for approximately 3.5 months

August 2020:

  • Entrance ramp to SR 16 EB from SR 661 will close for approximately one month, but will remain open to emergency personnel only

Other upcoming impacts:

  • Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, the SR 37/661 bridge will be closed to all traffic between the hours of midnight and 4:30 a.m. for demolition. Daytime traffic will not be affected.
  • Tuesday, June 16, through Thursday, June 18, motorists can expect intermittent (15 minute) closures of SR 16 between the hours of midnight and 5:00 a.m. for beam placement. Closures will only impact one direction at a time. Daytime traffic will not be affected.
