I-675 Resurfacing/Rehabilitation Update

Greene County (Friday, May 29, 2020) – The following is an updated schedule for restrictions that will be imparted through next week at multiple locations as part of the Interstate 675 rehabilitation project in Greene County.

Friday-Monday, May 29-June 1:

  • Double-lane closure (left two lanes) of southbound I-675 between the U.S. 35 and Wilmington Pike interchanges from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.
  • Single-lane closure (right lane) of northbound I-675 near the Indian Ripple interchange from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. 
  • Closure of the ramp from westbound Indian Ripple Road to northbound I-675 will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. Motorists may detour by way of southbound I-675 and Wilmington Pike to northbound I-675.

Sunday-Thursday, May 31-June 4:

  • Single-lane closures on I-675 North from N. Fairfield Road to the Clark county line nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. 
  • Various lane closures on I-675 North and South under Feedwire Road nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. 

Monday, June 1:

  • Wagner Road will be reduced to one lane over I-675, and traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.

Wednesday, June 3:

  • Traffic patterns on U.S. 35 over I-675 will be shifted to accommodate shoulder work, and various lane closures and intermittent, short-term full closures of the U.S. 35 West ramp to I-675 South will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, June 4.

Thursday, June 4:

  • A contraflow lane for I-675 South motorists will be opened along the northbound side of the interstate. 

Friday, June 5:

  • Two lanes of southbound I-675 traffic will be shifted to the right lane and shoulder through the construction zone. 
  • The ramp from eastbound U.S. 35 to southbound I-675 will be closed. The closure will be in effect for up to 130 days, and traffic will be detoured by way of Research Blvd. and N. Fairfield Road. 
  • Temporary closure of the ramp from westbound U.S. 35 to southbound I-675 to establish maintenance of traffic for the U.S. 35 East ramp closure. This short-term closure will be in effect just prior to the closure of the eastbound ramp, and the ramp will reopen before the eastbound ramp is closed. Traffic will be detoured by way of Col. Glenn Highway.

Message boards, barriers, and/or arrow boards will alert motorists of the work zones; however, drivers are reminded of the need for additional caution.
