COLUMBIANA COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF MAY 28, 2020

New Philadelphia, Ohio (May 28, 2020) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Columbiana County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 11 State Route 11 resurfacing project: Beginning Monday, June 1, SR 11 will be restricted from the Columbiana/Mahoning County line to just south of the SR 344 interchange for a resurfacing project. One, 11-foot lane of traffic maintained. Completion date: September 30, 2020.

The following projects are ongoing in Columbiana County:

U.S. Route 30 Projects U.S. 30 slide repair project west of Lisbon. One lane of traffic is maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date is August 31, 2020. U.S. 30 (Lincoln Way) traffic signal upgrade project in Lisbon. Project includes signal upgrades at the intersections of U.S. 30 (Lincoln Way) with SR 45/SR 154, Beaver Street, Market Street, and Jefferson Street. Completion date is October 31, 2020. U.S. 30 eastbound slide repair located north of East Liverpool at Dresden Avenue. One, 12-foot lane of traffic maintained. Completion date is August 31, 2020.

State Route 7 Projects SR 7 resurfacing project from Stratton to Wellsville. During this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction with a 15' width restriction. Completion date is October 31, 2020. SR 7 bridge replacement located east of Columbiana between SR 14 and Metz Road. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date: June 30, 2021.

SR 267 slide repair project: SR 267 is restricted just north of SR 7 for a slide repair project. Traffic maintained via temporary traffic signals with a 10-foot lane restriction. Completion date is October 31, 2020. 

State Route 172 roadway rehabilitation: Daytime closures along state Route 172 from the Stark/Columbiana County line to New Garden for a roadway rehabilitation project. Closure hours are Monday - Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Completion date is July 3, 2020.

County Road 427 slide repair:  County Road 427 (Kountz Avenue) 30 day closure for a slide repair project that began on May 4. Completion date for all work is June 30, 2020.

State Route 45 restricted for landslide repair work: SR 45 is currently restricted to one lane of traffic between Zacharias Road and Pleasant Valley Road for a slide repair project. Traffic is maintained via temporary traffic signals. Completion date is September 30, 2020.

East Palestine safety project: This project includes the installation of pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades, and pedestrian signal upgrades. Traffic maintained via flaggers when necessary. Completion date: September 30, 2020.
