U.S. 42 Culvert Replacement To Begin Next Month
Warren County (Wednesday, May 20, 2020) – Construction for a culvert replacement will begin on U.S. Route 42 in Warren County next month, and the route will be closed for approximately three weeks.
On Monday, June 8, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will close U.S. 42 at County Road 134 (Township Line Road) to replace a culvert and widen the shoulder on a portion of the route. The closure will be in effect through June 27, and while U.S. 42 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 48 and S.R. 73.
Rack and Ballauer Excavating was awarded a contract for approximately $1.64 million to replace the culvert on U.S. 42, as well as culverts on S.R. 123 in Warren County and S.R. 222, S.R. 232 and S.R. 133 in Clermont County, and the entire project is scheduled for completion in late summer.
