Prep Work Continues For S.R. 48 Bridge Rehab

Route to be closed over Little Miami River June 1

Warren County (Friday, May 15, 2020) – Preparation continues for a bridge project on state Route 48 at South Lebanon in Warren County, where contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be rehabilitating the structure over the Little Miami River.

Since the start of the project, crews have installed a work platform to be used during construction, and additional site preparations will continue early next week. Single-lane restrictions will be in effect again on Monday, May 18, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers from approximately 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Following preliminary site work, the bridge will be closed at the Little Miami crossing for up to 75 days for the rehabilitation. Weather permitting, the closure will go into effect on Monday, June 1, and while S.R. 48 is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of I-71, S.R. 123 and U.S. 22.

For more information about the project, including a detour map, visit the project page on ODOT’s web site by way of this link.
