Interstate 71 Lane Shift/Lane Width Restriction Scheduled

Warren County (Monday, March 2, 2020) – Bridge work at the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge on Interstate 71 North will require a lane shift and width restriction Saturday, March 7.

On Saturday, crews will be performing maintenance work on the bridge, and traffic will be maintained in two, 10-foot lanes, with motorists shifted to the left shoulder and passing lane. The traffic pattern and restriction will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, the bridge will be reduced to one lane temporarily while the maintenance of traffic plan is established in the morning and removed in the evening.

In addition to the 10-foot width restriction through the work zone, heavy truck traffic will be shifted to the left lane (shoulder), and a reduced speed limit of 55 miles per hour will be in effect for all motorists.

Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone, and all work will be contingent upon the weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
