ALLEN COUNTY: Highway construction update

Week of Aug. 26, 2019

The following highway construction is scheduled to occur within Allen County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions, and unless otherwise noted, it will take place during daytime hours.

INTERSTATE 75

Interstate 75 between the Stewart Road overpass and Napoleon Road, between the city of Lima and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane in both directions for a pavement resurfacing project. The project also includes repairs on the ramps at the Bluelick Road interchange and on the bridges over Sugar Creek. Variable speed limit signs will be in place to display the legal, posted speed limit through the work zone. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following ramp closures are associated with the project:

  • Exit ramp from I-75 southbound to Bluelick Road, Lima, closed Monday, Aug. 19, for approximately two days for ramp repairs. Traffic is detoured onto I-75 southbound, the state Route 81 interchange and I-75 northbound back to Bluelick Road. (see map)
  • Entrance ramp from Bluelick Road to I-75 southbound, Lima, closed Monday, Aug. 19, for approximately two days for ramp repairs. Traffic is detoured onto I-75 northbound and the Napoleon Road interchange back to I-75 southbound. (see map)
