S.R. 32 Paving Project Set To Begin Next Week

Chillicothe (Friday, August 2, 2019) – Construction of a nearly seven-mile resurfacing project on state Route 32 in Jackson County is scheduled to begin, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation starting early next week.

On Monday, August 5, construction will begin on S.R. 32, where crews from Shelly and Sands, Inc. will be paving the route from the S.R. 327 interchange at Wellston to the Vinton County line. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one, 12-foot lane in each direction.

Shelly and Sands, Inc. was awarded a contract for approximately $2.65 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by mid-fall of this year.
