Construction Update 

Upcoming ODOT Work This Week

For the reporting period ending June 8, 2019: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Scioto County. SCIOTO COUNTY

MAY 28-JUNE 7: S.R. 73 will be closed between the village of Otway and C.R. 44 (Henley-Comstock Road) for a two-week culvert replacement project. The closure will go into effect at approximately 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, and remain in effect until 4 p.m. Friday, June 7, or until all work is completed. Motorists will be detoured via S.R. 348 and S.R. 104.

A resurfacing project is scheduled on U.S. 52, from the Adams County line to T.R. 323 (Tipton Lane). Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 12-foot lane with the use of flaggers, and the project is scheduled to be completed mid-summer. (#18-0479)

A bridge sealing project is under way on various structures on S.R. 852 and U.S. 52. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one, 10-foot lane in each direction and with the use of flaggers and/or barrels as needed. The project is scheduled to be completed in early summer. (#19-1004)

A culvert replacement project is under way in Shawnee State Forest, where crews are replacing culverts and repairing pavement at multiple locations on FR 1, FR 6 and FR 14. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers or temporary signals; however, short-term temporary closures of the roadways may be in effect during hours of operation. All work is anticipated to be completed in early summer. (#19-1015)

Operations for a bridge repair and resurfacing project on S.R. 253 between C.R. 1 (Gallia Pike Road) and the Greenup, Ky. Dam Bridge have resumed, and crews are working to complete paving operations. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction and the use of flaggers as needed. (#18-0072)
