SCIOTO COUNTY

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24: S.R. 823 will be subject to single-lane restrictions in both the north and southbound direction, between U.S. 23 and U.S. 52, for routine monthly maintenance operations. The route will be reduced to one, 12-foot lane in either direction while PGG crews sweep, clear debris and assess culverts in a mobile operation within the entire corridor. Motorists are reminded to use additional caution within the work zone.

APRIL 29-MAY 3: S.R. 104 will be closed between T.R. 371 (Sheep Ranch Hollow Road) and T.R. 142 (McDermott-Rushtown Road), just north of S.R. 73, for a slide repair project. The closure will be in effect from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, with it open to evening and overnight travel. Motorists will be detoured via S.R. 32 and U.S. 23 during periods of closure.

A culvert replacement project is under way in Shawnee State Forest, where crews are replacing culverts and repairing pavement at multiple locations on FR 1, FR 6 and FR 14. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers or temporary signals; however, short-term temporary closures of the roadways may be in effect during hours of operation. All work is anticipated to be completed in early summer. (#19-1015)

U.S. 52 West is reduced to one lane at it the intersection with U.S. 23 in the city of Portsmouth due to a pavement slip. A project to repair the slip will be outlined and constructed by the city; however, a schedule to complete the repairs has yet to be determined. Currently, eastbound U.S. 52 is not affected by this restriction.

Operations for a bridge repair and resurfacing project on S.R. 253 between C.R. 1 (Gallia Pike Road) and the Greenup, Ky. Dam Bridge have resumed, and crews are working to complete paving operations. Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction and the use of flaggers as needed. (#18-0072)
