U.S. 50 Paving Project Gets Under Way In Hillsboro

Chillicothe (Tuesday, April 26, 2019) – With the start of the 2019 construction season, a paving project is getting under way on U.S Route 50 in Highland County.

Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be paving U.S. 50 (Main Street) through the city of Hillsboro, from the western corporation limit near T.R. 278 (Fenner Road) to the eastern corporation limit at T.R. 1059 (Woodlawn Drive).

Sign installation and preliminary work to include pavement repairs is beginning this week, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.

The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for $1,305,309 in the fall of 2018 to pave U.S. 50, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early summer.
