Upcoming ODOT Work This Week

Through the week ending March 23, 2019: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Brown County. For statewide information regarding road conditions affected by weather, construction, maintenance or accidents, visit ODOT on the web at www.Ohgo.com

BROWN COUNTY

THROUGH MARCH 29: S.R. 763 is closed for an emergency slip repair project. The route will be closed approximately 1/2 mile north of TR 24 (W. Fork Road), south of SR 353, and the closure will be in effect through Friday, March 29. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 125, S.R. 136 and S.R. 41.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20: C.R. 13 (North Pole Road) will be closed at the North Pole Covered Bridge, located at the overlap between TR 28 (Eagle Creek/Upper Eagle Creek roads), for bridge replacement. A new bridge will be built, and the existing bridge will remain in place but be closed to traffic. The closure will be in effect for up to 60 days, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via TR 28 and CR 49B (Scoffield Road).

S.R. 41 is reduced to one lane near S.R. 763, just north of Aberdeen, due to a slip. A construction project to repair the site has yet to be outlined, and until such time that repairs can be completed, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.

Construction is under way for the installation of a conflict warning system at the intersection of U.S. 68 and S.R. 123. Crews are installing signs and beacon lights on both routes, and throughout the project, traffic will be maintained on both routes with the use of flaggers as needed. All work should be completed in early spring. (#18-0412)

S.R. 125 will be subject to single-lane restrictions between T.R. 402 (Gillette Station Road) and T.R. 579 (Old Infirmary Road) for tree removal and clearing. Crews will be working within the right of way along the route during daytime, business hours as weather permits. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed; however, there should be little impact to motorists. All work should be completed by March 31, 2019. (#18-1058)
