Upcoming ODOT Work This Week

For the week ending March 16, 2019: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Ross County. ROSS COUNTY

MARCH 13-15: Single-lane restrictions will be imparted on S.R. 159 at Delano Road while crews from AEP move utility lines. The route will be reduced to one lane from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers and law enforcement officers throughout each day while crews are at work. Restrictions will be lifted for evening and overnight travel.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12: A slip repair project is scheduled to begin on FR 10 (Tar Hollow Road) in Tar Hollow State Park. The route will be subject to short-term, intermittent periods of closure when crews are at work. At other times during hours of operation, traffic will be maintained by flaggers. During periods of closure, motorists will be detoured via local park roads and S.R. 327

MONDAY, MARCH 18: A bridge demolition project over U.S. 23 is scheduled to begin the week of March 18. Crews will be removing the C.R. 13 (Overbridge Road) bridge which crosses over U.S. 23 just north of the S.R. 159 interchange. Single-lane restrictions in both the north and southbound direction on U.S. 23 will be in effect when crews are at work. U.S. 23 will also be subject to temporary overnight closure in either direction; however, a schedule to close the route has yet to be determined.

Construction has begun for a bridge replacement project on C.R. 213 (West Junction Road), immediately west of the Ross-Vinton County line. West Junction Road is already closed, and the route will remain closed through early fall of 2019. Motorists will be detoured C.R. 207 (Vigo Road), U.S. 35, C.R. 271 (Elam Road) and C.R. 27 (Bronx Corners Road). (#18-4023)
