Area Routes Closed Due To Flooding
Chillicothe (Tuesday, February 12, 2019) -- following routes on the state highway system in ODOT District 9 are closed this afternoon, February 12, due to flooding:
- S.R. 124 between C.R. 1 (Beavers Ridge Road) and S.R. 772 at Idaho in Pike County;
- S.R. 220 at C.R. 51 (River Road) and the CSX Railroad, two miles south of Waverly, in Pike County;
- S.R. 104 at the Deer Creek Bridge, between C.R. 138 (Williamsport Pike) and T.R. 131A (Pennyroyal Road), in Ross County;
- S.R. 73 at the Second Street Bridge and the city of Portsmouth in Scioto County;
- S.R. 73 at the U.S. 52/S.R. 852 overpasses, west of Portsmouth, in Scioto County; and
- S.R. 239 between U.S. 52 and S.R. 73 at West Portsmouth in Scioto County.
All closures are in effect until further notice, and motorists are reminded that crossing any closed route is strictly prohibited. In addition, they are advised to use additional caution when traveling over any roadway which remains open but where standing water may be present.
