HO HO GO! Four Lanes Open for Holiday Travel

West Side travel is sure to make the nice list this year. Tonight, crews will open the final section of I-270 north to four lanes between I-70 and Roberts Road, weather permitting.
That means by Tuesday morning, drivers will have four lanes in each direction between I-70 and US 33. Relief for West Side drivers comes just in time for Christmas as thousands are expected to hit the road this weekend.

Here's how traffic will be impacted overnight:
MONDAY, DECEMBER 17
8 PM: I-270 NB reduced to one lane from I-70 to Roberts Road.
8 PM: The following ramps will close -
- I-70 WB to I-270 NB
Detour: I-70 WB to I-270 SB to Georgesville Road to I-270 NB
- I-70 EB to I-270 NB
Detour: I-70 EB to I-270 SB to Georgesville Road to I-270 NB
- I-270 NB to Roberts Road
Detour: I-270 NB to Cemetery Road to I-270 SB to Roberts Road
5 AM Tuesday: Four lanes of I-270 NB open from I-70 to US 33.
