WHEN: Thursday, December 13, 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: Sunshine Church of Christ 20 Barklow Road, Portsmouth (across from the SR335/Shumway Hollow interchange near Minford)
Construction of the new state Route 823 (Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway) is complete, and to celebrate this milestone project, the Ohio Department of Transportation and its developers, the Portsmouth Gateway Group, will hold a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony this Thursday, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
You are cordially invited to join us for a program at the Sunshine Church of Christ, followed by a ribbon cutting at the entrance to the SR 335/Shumway Hollow interchange and a motorcade along portions of the new route. The church and the interchange are located off S.R. 335, adjacent to the Greater Portsmouth – Scioto County Regional Airport, and members of the media wanting to join the motorcade will be placed in the lineup accordingly by ODOT personnel following the ribbon cutting.

Special Note: S.R. 823 will NOT open to traffic on Thursday. The new route will be open Friday, December 14.
