PROJECT UPDATE: US 40/SR 29

IN MADISON COUNTY

Project Description: 

  • Add turn lanes on US 40 at three intersections
  • Install two new traffic signals
  • Relocate SR 29 to come to a 'T' intersection at US 40

What Changes: 

  • Instead of 10 separate median crossovers in this less than one mile stretch of road, the project will create safer access to US 40 at three paved intersections between SR 29 and Enterprise Parkway
  • Residents and businesses along US 40 will be able to make a U-turn at the following intersections: US 40/Enterprise Parkway, the traffic signal at US 40/Amazon Main Entrance and the traffic signal at US 40/SR 29
