Greenlawn Ramp to I-71 NB to Close Temporarily

As part of the $113 million construction project on the south side, the entrance ramp from Greenlawn Ave. to I-71 northbound will close Thursday, September 6 at 9 PM for 15 days.

This closure, along with other expected closures, has been listed on our website since last summer when the project began. The Greenlawn Ave. ramp closure is necessary to rebuild the ramp and finish constructing the flood wall that runs adjacent to the highway.

There will be two detours for drivers while the ramp is closed: Greenlawn Ave. to north on Harmon Rd. to W. Mound St. to I-70 east OR East on Greenlawn Ave. to south on High St. to SR 104 west to I-71 north.

The ramp is expected to reopen Saturday, September 22, weather permitting.

The South Side Mega Fix project, which began last year, will add a lane in each direction of Interstate 71 between SR 315 and Stringtown Road and build new ramps at the Interstate 71 & 270 Interchange. The project is expected to be completed in 2020.
